Security operations by Pakistani forces in parts of Khuzdar district have reportedly intensified over the past two days. Local sources indicate that seven individuals have been detained during these operations and have been moved to an undisclosed location. The increased activity suggests a significant crackdown in the region, with residents observing heightened military presence and actions.
Pakistani forces are conducting large-scale operations across various areas, with notable troop movements in Ornach and Giresha. Residents in these localities have reported heavy ground activity, including the movement of troops and equipment. Aerial surveillance has also been observed in parts of the region, further indicating the scale of the security crackdown.
Sources from Gresha have confirmed that during the ongoing operations, seven people have been taken into custody. The detained individuals have been identified as Arif s/o Gaijan, Zahid Baloch, Basheer Baloch s/o Zahir Khan, Zameer s/o Abdul Wahid, Saleem Baloch, Zahoor Baloch, and Fateh Baloch. There are concerns within the community as none of these individuals have been presented publicly or allowed contact with their families.
Community members report that the military’s presence continues to expand in Giresha and Ornach, with security forces establishing a stronger ground presence. Despite the reports of detentions and increased activity, there has been no official statement from authorities clarifying the purpose of the operation, the reasons behind the detentions, or the overall situation in the area.
