Pakistan Army helicopters have been reportedly circling the skies over the Tump area of Balochistan’s Kech district since last night, amid reports of four individuals being forcibly disappeared. Sources from the area claim that Pakistani security forces detained the four men and transferred them to an undisclosed location, coinciding with heightened military activity after an assault on the Pakistani forces on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday.
The missing individuals have been identified as Farooq and Ilyas, both sons of Abdul Hameed, as well as Faris, son of Muhammad Karim, and Ibrahim, son of Ali. All four hail from Dazin town, with Farooq and Ilyas notably having previously been victims of enforced disappearance before being released. As tensions rise, a substantial number of Pakistani forces are reportedly advancing in Tump, while helicopters remain visible in the vicinity.
This escalation follows a militant attack on a Pakistani infantry unit last night, resulting in the confirmation of three military casualties.
