The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for an attack on a construction company’s camp in Naal, Khuzdar. In a statement to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch explained that the attack took place on 23 October 2025. He described the targeted project as “exploitative” and associated with ongoing development efforts in the Kaleri area of Naal. During the operation, heavy machinery at the site was damaged, and 19 employees of the construction company were taken into custody by BLF fighters.
Major Gwahram Baloch alleged that following the attack, Pakistani security forces launched intense aerial and ground operations in the region. These operations aimed to recover those in BLF custody and to eliminate the group’s fighters. However, he claimed that BLF fighters successfully repelled these security efforts, managing to keep all detained individuals safe despite what he described as “aggressive actions” by the security forces. The statement emphasized the group’s resilience under difficult conditions.
The spokesperson further revealed that most of the individuals detained during the operation belonged to the Sindhi community from neighboring areas. He stated that appeals for their release had been made by various nationalist and humanitarian circles, including the Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA). In a gesture of mutual respect, the BLF decided to release the Sindhi detainees “with dignity and safety,” asserting that they have since returned to their families unharmed.
In addition to the incident in Naal, the BLF also referenced a separate event on 12 December in the Basima area. During this incident, the group claimed to have detained two officials associated with Pakistan’s Customs Department during a blockade. Major Gwahram Baloch said that, following appeals from political figures and on humanitarian grounds, the two officials were treated well during their custody and released safely after questioning.
Major Gwahram Baloch announced that the BLF has now released all individuals in its custody. He clarified that the group does not harm individuals it does not see as involved in actions against the Baloch people. The statement underscored the group’s stance that its actions are targeted and selective, aimed at resisting what they consider oppressive projects and policies.
In his concluding remarks, the BLF spokesperson called on neighboring communities, particularly Sindhi and Pashtun populations, to refrain from participating in development projects in Balochistan that the group deems exploitative. He also urged these communities not to join Pakistan’s military, emphasizing that such actions undermine the group’s cause and regional stability.
