International Oppressed Peoples Conference
BYC successfully conducted its First International Oppressed Peoples Conference. We believe in collective action and solidarity among all oppressed peoples of the world. Unity among the oppressed peoples of world is the only way forward for collective salvation from oppression, The underlying principle behind our struggle. Because without such an effective effort it is not possible to break the shackles of oppression.
State and Islamabad Administration deployed all its means of suppression to sabotage this conference. At first they snatched and confiscated necessary equipments destined for Conference. On the day of the Conference our distinguished guests were barred from joining the conference. They were harassed and threatened by the police officials. Their manipulative actions were foiled when the brave oppressed people faced all these obstacles bravely.
International Oppressed peoples conference is an effort to unite the oppressed peoples of this region. We were successful in bringing together the oppressed peoples from different regions in our conference. We were joined by leaders and activists from Gilgit-Baltistan, Jamu and Kashmir, Sindh, Punjab and Pashtun Belt.
We successfully conducted all segments. We were delighted and enlightened by the presence of the oppressed peoples of different regions. They shared their struggles, pain and suffering with the participants. They enlightened participants regarding the injustices they have been facing since decades. Leaders of the Oppressed people emphasised on the need of unity among those whose lives have been ruined by this oppressive system.
We shall continue this quest for unity among the oppressed peoples of world. This platform is a crucial attempt to bridge all the oppressed and advance towards the Noble Cause of equality and justice.
