In response to the events in Pakistani Occupied Kashmir on May 13, 2024, the Baloch People’s Congress chairperson Naela Quadri Baloch, secretary general Siddik Azad Baloch and BPC president Balochistan Dr Hakim Lehri vehemently condemned the killing of innocent Kashmiris and the injuring of numerous others. We demand immediate justice for the victims of this flagrant violation of human rights, urging the protection and release of all innocents apprehended.
Furthermore, we urgently call upon the United Nations and the international community to intervene decisively to safeguard the lives of innocent civilians in Pakistani-occupied Kashmir. The escalating state violence against the people of Kashmir, who are merely seeking to exercise their fundamental rights, is utterly unacceptable and unjust. Every individual has the universal right to engage in peaceful protest and expression without fear of reprisal or harm.
We must hear their voices and address their legitimate grievances without resorting to aggressive measures. Let us unite in advocating for peaceful and inclusive solutions that uphold the universal principles of human rights and dignity for all. Moreover, recognizing Kashmir as a disputed territory requiring urgent attention and resolution, we urge the international community and the United Nations to take robust action against Pakistan’s aggressive actions.
