The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has released an audio message from Sumaiya Qalandrani, the second Baloch female fidayee, on their official media channel “Hakkal,” commemorating her first death anniversary.
On June 24th of last year, Sumaiya Qalandrani carried out an attack on a VIP convoy of Pakistani forces in the Kech district of Balochistan. The assault resulted in significant damage to several vehicles and reportedly caused multiple casualties. The Majeed Brigade, a group affiliated with the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), claimed responsibility for the attack and identified Sumaiya Qalandrani as a “fidayee.”
Sumaiya emphasized the suffering of Baloch families, saying that it is crucial to prioritize the nation’s struggle over personal desires. She was a staunch critique of those who ignore the plight of their nation, calling it cowardice.
She had time and again emphasized the need to break gender stereotypes within their struggle, saying that women must end narrow-minded thinking that differentiates between men and women.
Addressing her enemy, Sumaiya had always warned them that the Baloch will not tolerate injustice or slavery and will fight back with double the strength.
In her message, Sumaiya recounts the emotional toll of the struggle, saying that she often woke up feeling her motherland calling her to ask what she was doing for it. She urges Baloch women to continue fighting for independence and to reject small-minded thinking that limits their capabilities.
Sumaiya concludes her message by urging celebrations in her honor, saying that it will make her happy to know that her mothers and sisters are with her. She reiterates her dedication to the Baloch cause and urges others to join the fight for independence.
Sumaiya’s message is a powerful call to action, urging future generations of Baloch to carry on the struggle and never give up.
