BLA Reports 369 Attacks and Claims 884 Killings in Six-Month Operational Summary

Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), a pro-independence armed group, has released a comprehensive report through its media channel Hakkal, detailing its military activities over the past six months. The report includes an infographic and a detailed account of the group’s operations, highlighting the scope and intensity of their campaign in Balochistan.

According to the BLA, it has carried out a total of 369 military operations during this period. The group claims these operations resulted in the deaths of 884 personnel, comprising members of the Pakistani military, intelligence agencies, and individuals it describes as local collaborators. The report emphasizes the widespread nature of these activities across the region.

The group asserts that its fighters conducted coordinated attacks across various parts of Balochistan, from the coastal areas to mountainous terrains and urban centers. It states that the expansion in both geographical reach and operational frequency reflects the implementation of a structured military strategy and organizational policy aimed at challenging Pakistani control.

Targeting security infrastructure, the BLA claims it attacked military garrisons, bases, and camps, aiming to weaken Pakistani military presence in the region. The report also accuses Pakistani intelligence agencies of involvement in operations against the Baloch population, asserting that their personnel were targeted during the reporting period.

The report describes breaches of heavily fortified security positions by BLA fighters, claiming they killed dozens of military personnel and limited the movement of Pakistani forces. It also mentions an “economic blockade” strategy, where supply routes used by the Pakistani state and resource-exploiting companies were targeted to hinder economic activity in Balochistan.

Further, the BLA claims to have seized 277 modern weapons and large quantities of military equipment during various operations. It states that the group temporarily gained control over 71 strategic locations, including military camps, police stations, communication infrastructure, and alleged hideouts, enabling the group to control 14 towns simultaneously.

The report details the group’s economic blockade efforts, including road blockades at over 122 locations along major highways and the destruction of 23 key bridges. It also reports 16 raid-style operations that resulted in the detention of 125 individuals, including Pakistani forces and alleged collaborators, highlighting the group’s multifaceted approach to resistance.

Finally, the BLA claims responsibility for numerous attacks involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and landmines targeting military vehicles and convoys, destroying hundreds of vehicles, surveillance equipment, and infrastructure. It also reports that its suicide unit, the Majeed Brigade, conducted 15 operations, resulting in the deaths of 52 of its members, along with other specialized units carrying out additional operations across the region.
