BLA Reveals Sixth Phase of ‘Operation Zirpahazag’ in Jiwani, Names Majeed Brigade Fighter

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) issued a comprehensive statement on Saturday, detailing the events of Friday’s attack on a joint military camp near Jiwani in Gwadar district. The assault targeted a facility housing personnel from the Pakistani military, Coast Guards, and intelligence agencies. According to the BLA, the attack resulted in the deaths of more than 30 personnel and left dozens seriously wounded in a coordinated vehicle-borne bombing followed by an armed assault.

BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch explained that the operation was executed by the group’s Majeed Brigade and Fateh Squad. He described it as the sixth phase of their broader military campaign called “Zirpahazag,” which translates to “Protection of the Sea.” The operation signifies the group’s intensified efforts to challenge Pakistani control over the coastal region.

The targeted camp was located approximately 10 kilometers from Jiwani and was described by the BLA as a “highly sensitive stronghold.” The camp housed over 20 personnel from the Pakistan Coast Guards’ 3rd Battalion and the Punjab Regiment’s 32nd Unit. It also included operatives from Military Intelligence and the Inter-Services Intelligence, indicating its strategic importance for Pakistan’s security infrastructure.

The BLA characterized the installation as a key facility used for espionage and strict surveillance of the Baloch coast. They accused it of being instrumental in coordinating efforts to blockade the Baloch coast and exploit its resources. The attack, they claimed, was a direct response to these activities and aimed to disrupt what they called Pakistan’s “colonial” control over Balochistan’s resources.

According to the statement, the assault began at precisely 6:32 pm, when a fighter from the Majeed Brigade named Attaullah Baloch, alias Ajmal, drove an explosives-laden Mazda vehicle into the camp. The explosion breached all military defenses, causing the collapse of fortified structures and bunkers, and damaging military equipment inside the compound.

Following the explosion, Fateh Squad fighters encircled the camp and engaged any personnel who survived the initial blast. The group claimed that their coordinated attack was highly effective, inflicting significant damage and demonstrating their operational capabilities against well-fortified military installations.

The BLA identified Attaullah Baloch as a 20-year-old resident of Negindap in Panjgur. They highlighted his educational background, describing him as a fighter with “high political and revolutionary consciousness.” The group stated that he had joined the organization on August 29, 2024, and had served in multiple regions including Panjgur, Keelkaur, Paroom, and Washuk before volunteering for the Majeed Brigade.

The group lauded Attaullah’s sacrifice, calling him an “educated fighter” and a symbol of the Baloch nationalist movement. They described his death as a “bright chapter” in their struggle for independence, emphasizing that his youthful determination and love for the motherland marked a milestone in the ongoing liberation efforts.

The BLA emphasized that their attack aimed to send a clear message: the military blockade and resource exploitation of Balochistan would no longer be tolerated. They asserted that their offensive strategy had become “deadlier than the enemy could ever conceive,” reflecting their intent to challenge Pakistan’s military presence and control.

In their concluding remarks, the BLA vowed to continue targeting military installations, espionage centers, and projects they labeled as colonial interests. They pledged that until Balochistan achieved complete independence and Pakistani troops withdrew, their attacks would persist with relentless intensity. No part of the land would remain safe for occupying forces, they declared.

Finally, the group issued a stern warning to international powers and regional investors. They urged them to refrain from partnering with Pakistan in resource extraction and security projects within Balochistan. The BLA warned that any such cooperation would be met with resistance, and they expressed their readiness to continue the armed campaign. They warned that the coming days could see even more severe violence if Pakistan refused to withdraw from the region.
