The Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement (JSFM) strongly condemns the ongoing state repression, political victimization, arbitrary arrests, and serious human rights violations against the leadership of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC), particularly Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Bebo Baloch, Gulzadi Baloch, Sibghatullah Shah Baloch, and other detained Baloch leaders.
We believe that state institutions are employing intimidation, coercion, and various forms of repression to silence Baloch political activists, human rights defenders, and leaders of the Baloch national movement. The actions taken against Dr. Mahrang Baloch and the leadership of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee are inconsistent with internationally recognized principles of human rights, freedom of expression, freedom of assembly, and political participation.
JSFM maintains that access to justice for political activists and leaders of oppressed nations in Pakistan has become a matter of serious concern. The involvement of state institutions, particularly the military and intelligence agencies, in political affairs has raised grave concerns regarding the independence and impartiality of the country’s judicial and legal system. Under such circumstances, the prospects for justice for Baloch political prisoners and leaders of national movements appear severely limited.
The Sindhi nation expresses its full national, political, and humanitarian solidarity with the Baloch nation. For decades, the oppressed peoples of Sindh and Balochistan have endured state repression, enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, political persecution, and widespread human rights abuses. The Sindhi nation regards the suffering of the Baloch people as part of its own struggle and shares their pain and aspirations for justice and freedom.
JSFM urgently appeals to the United Nations, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and other international human rights organizations to take immediate notice of the ongoing repression, arbitrary detentions, enforced disappearances, and human rights violations against the leadership of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee and the Baloch people.
We call upon international institutions to initiate independent investigations into the human rights situation in Pakistan and to take effective measures to hold the Pakistani state accountable for violations of international human rights principles, treaties, and legal obligations. Concrete steps must be taken to ensure justice, protection, and the safeguarding of fundamental rights for oppressed nations and their peoples.
The Jeay Sindh Freedom Movement once again reaffirms its unwavering solidarity with the Baloch nation, Dr. Mahrang Baloch, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, and all political prisoners. We remain committed to raising our voice for the national, human, and democratic rights of the oppressed peoples of Sindh and Balochistan.
