For me, this paper captures the painful but powerful reality of Balochistan. It shows how death, instead of ending an idea, often gives it new life. The graves, funerals, and memories of our people have become more than just symbols of loss they have become the heart of our identity and resistance.
When the state tries to erase people through violence and disappearance, the memories of those lost only bring the community closer, turning pain into strength. The New Kahan graveyard and the funerals of our leaders like Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri and Banuk Karima Baloch are not just moments of mourning, but acts of political defiance.
They show that even in death, our people continue to shape the struggle for dignity and recognition. The way women, like Karima, have become central figures in this movement also breaks old gender boundaries and gives new meaning to what it means to be part of the Baloch struggle. In this way, emotions, memories, and even graveyards have become powerful tools of identity and survival.
