Two separate shooting incidents were reported in Balochistan’s coastal city of Pasni and the main city of Kech district, Turbat. In these incidents, two Levies personnel were injured, and one civilian was killed.
In Pasni’s Baburshor area, Ward No. 1, unidentified armed men opened fire on two Levies personnel, Shabbir and Sagheer, while they were sitting at a local shop. Eyewitnesses stated that the assailants arrived on a motorcycle and fled the scene immediately after the attack. Both injured personnel were transported to the Pak-Oman Hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment. The motive behind the attack has not been determined, and police along with Levies officials have initiated an investigation.
In Turbat, near Kor Pul, unidentified armed assailants shot and killed a man on the spot. The deceased has been identified as Aqib Shikari. Reports indicate that he was on his way to the bazaar from his home when he was targeted. His body was taken to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The reasons behind both incidents remain unclear, and authorities are continuing their investigations into these violent events. The community continues to await further details as security forces work to determine the motives and identify those responsible.
