Quetta: Disappeared woman alleged as suspected bomber sparks conflicting claims

Authorities in Quetta held a press conference on Tuesday, during which they presented a woman, previously reported missing from Khuzdar, as a suspected suicide bomber. The presentation of Farzana Baloch, also known as Farzana Zehri, has sparked contrasting narratives from government officials and Baloch political activists. According to officials, Farzana Zehri was detained during a recent security operation. They claimed she had been in contact with a commander of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and was being groomed for a suicide attack. BNM accused authorities of coercing detainees into making confessions and argued that this incident reflects a wider pattern of pressure and repression targeting Baloch activists.
