The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for three separate attacks in different regions of Balochistan, specifically in Mastung, Panjgur, and Dera Murad Jamali. According to the group, these attacks resulted in the deaths of seven Pakistani military personnel. The BLA announced these claims through a statement issued to the media, emphasizing their ongoing campaign against Pakistani military targets.
In the statement, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch detailed the nature of the attacks. He stated that fighters targeted Pakistani military convoys and a check post in the respective areas. These operations were carried out with the intent of challenging Pakistani military presence and operations in Balochistan, the spokesperson added.
The first attack took place in the Spelinji and Maro areas of Mastung, where BLA fighters ambushed a military convoy consisting of twelve vehicles. The spokesperson claimed that rockets and other heavy weapons were used during this ambush. Additionally, a sniper team was reportedly deployed to target the convoy, causing significant damage.
According to the BLA, three soldiers were killed instantly in the Mastung attack, and several others sustained injuries. The group claimed to have used heavy weaponry, including rockets, to carry out the assault, demonstrating their capability to conduct targeted operations against Pakistani military assets.
The group also reported an attack on February 10 in the Parom area of Panjgur. BLA fighters used heavy weapons to ambush another military convoy, resulting in the death of four soldiers and injuries to several others. During this clash, the militants claimed to have shot down a military quadcopter that was used during the operation.
In addition to these attacks, the BLA asserted that its fighters carried out a hand grenade assault on a military check post in Dera Murad Jamali the previous night. The attack reportedly injured three personnel, who were deployed for railway track clearance duties. The BLA confirmed its responsibility for this attack as part of its ongoing resistance.
The group concluded by affirming that such operations would continue and that they would persist in their struggle against Pakistani military forces. There has been no official confirmation from Pakistani authorities regarding these claims, and the military has yet to comment on the incidents.
