The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a grenade attack on the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) office in Harnai on December 13, which resulted in injuries to six individuals, including two CTD personnel and four members of the local Death Squad.
Azad Baloch, the spokesperson for the BLA, stated that the attack was executed by the group’s “freedom fighters” while local Death Squad members were present at the CTD office. The BLA’s statement clarified that the targets were individuals linked to the CTD and the Death Squad, both of whom are accused of collaborating with state forces in anti-Baloch activities.
“The attack injured two notorious CTD personnel and four members of the local Death Squad,” Baloch said. “All informants and members of the Death Squad in Harnai are on our target.” The BLA issued a stern warning to collaborators, threatening them with “a terrible end” if they continued to aid state forces.
The statement also emphasized a strong warning to local police and Levies forces, urging them to refrain from supporting the state in its operations against the Baloch national movement. The group declared that any further cooperation would lead to additional attacks, asserting that these forces would be targeted “without any hesitation.”
