A joint memorial reference was organized under the auspices of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO) and BSO-Pajjar to honor the memory of Zubair Baloch and Nisar Jan Baloch. The event brought together leaders from various political parties and human rights organizations across Balochistan, highlighting the widespread recognition of their sacrifices and the ongoing struggle for justice.
The gathering featured prominent speakers including BSO-Pajjar’s Vice Chairman Malik Babul Baloch, BSO’s Senior Vice Chairman Nazar Baloch, Secretary General Samand Baloch, Advocate Sajid Tareen, Mir Kabir Ahmed Mohammad Shahi, Ali Ahmed Langove, Ghulam Nabi Marri, Pashtun Students Federation Balochistan President Tahir Shah, Nasrullah Baloch, Advocate Ishaq Baloch, Hooran Baloch, and Agha Haq Nawaz Shah. Their presence underscored the unity among various organizations and political leaders in condemning the heinous act and honoring the martyrs.
Zubair Baloch, a lawyer, political activist, and former chairman of the BSO-Pajjar, was reportedly killed together with his companion, Nisar Jan Baloch, during a raid by Pakistani security forces on a residential house in Dalbandin, Chagai. His death triggered widespread condemnation from political parties, student groups, rights organizations, and legal bodies across Balochistan, emphasizing the brutal reality faced by many Baloch activists.
During the addresses, participants paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of Zubair Baloch and Nisar Jan Baloch. They described the memorial as both a gesture of homage and a reaffirmation of their commitment to carry forward the mission of these martyrs. The event served as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for justice and the importance of unity in resistance.
Speakers highlighted that Zubair Baloch was a principled, fearless, and peaceful political activist dedicated to the rights, justice, and equality of the Baloch nation. They noted his consistent efforts to raise awareness against enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and state repression. His leadership inspired Baloch students and activists to organize and stand firm in their fight for justice.
The participants condemned the targeted killing of Zubair Baloch as a calculated attempt to silence the legitimate voice of the Baloch people. They rejected the official narrative and labeled his death as an extrajudicial act. His struggle, they affirmed, remains a shining example of resistance against oppression and will continue to inspire the movement for Baloch rights.
The gathering concluded with a joint appeal to Baloch students, political workers, and justice-seekers to adopt the legacy of the martyrs. They called for raising voices against tyranny, ending enforced disappearances, and continuing the fight for the rights of the Baloch nation. The participants emphasized that the sacrifices of Zubair Baloch and Nisar Jan Baloch will never be forgotten and will serve as a guiding light for future resistance efforts.
