These disappearances, often carried out by state forces without legal process, leave families in perpetual anguish and uncertainty, casting a dark shadow over their lives.
In Balochistan, Eid is marked by loss and resistance. Families of the disappeared gather in public spaces, holding photographs of their loved ones and demanding justice. These protests are acts of resilience and solidarity, rooted deeply in the community’s cultural and emotional fabric. The emotional toll is immense, turning what should be a joyous time into a reminder of absence. Yet, these families channel their pain into activism, transforming mourning into a call for justice.
