Internet services have once again been suspended in Quetta and several other areas of Balochistan. Just a few days ago, mobile internet access was also disrupted in Balochistan.
Local sources report that internet services, which had been restored last night after a six-day hiatus in Khuzdar, Kalat, and Mangocher, were only operational for three hours before being turned off again.
Residents are expressing their frustration over the ongoing internet shutdowns, noting that the lack of connectivity is significantly impacting business operations, online education for students, and other essential activities.
Citizens are calling on the relevant authorities to permanently restore internet services to prevent further disruptions and challenges for the public.
So far, government institutions have not provided any official explanation for the internet suspension. However, Baloch activists and local sources indicate that the shutdown is linked to ongoing mass protests across Balochistan regarding enforced disappearances and the arrests of BYC leaders.
Residents argue that in today’s world, internet access is a fundamental necessity for economic and educational endeavors, and its absence is creating considerable hardships for the community.
