The spokesman of Baloch Yakjehti Committee Dera Bugti, strongly condemned the harassment, violence and oppression of the local people by the security forces and intelligence agencies of the state in Sui, an area of district Dera Bugti and said that the state institutions in Balochistan have become uncontrolled, they have given a free hand to do anything with Baloch and answerable to none.
Enforced disappearances of people from all over Balochistan have been made an everyday routine. Last night the security forces surrounded the quarters of the local employees of the gas extraction company in Sui and took more than 50 people into illegal custody. Some were released after torture, but according to reports so far, around ten people have been forcibly picked up and transferred to an unknown location, including Ghous Bakhsh son of Miran Bakhsh Bugti, Rahim Dad son of Haji, Attaullah. Son of Gohar Khan, Faisal son of Hanif Bugti, and Shah Hussain son of Shah Gul have been identified. It’s important that at this time when the entire Balochistan is protesting against human rights abuses and Baloch genocide, including forced disappearances.
The spokesman further said that this action and such kind of behaviour clarifies that the statute is not ready to stop the policy of Baloch genocide, while BYC has recently recorded a peaceful protest against such illegal actions from Turbat to Islamabad. Although it was a successful protest for Balochs it is completely ignored by the state which is a very sad act and more effective movements against this act are ready to flourish in Balochistan. On the other hand, the state has continuously adopted the attitude of a dictator instead of a state.
The spokesperson said that unfortunately, instead of listening and solving the legitimate basic points of the human and civil rights of the Baloch, the state is trying to suppress the Baloch by force. This is the Attitude that the state has kept toward Baloch since forty-seven. The extra-judicial oppression of the citizens, insulting of norms and conditions of Baloch society, and harassment of the citizens reflect that the state institutions jointly consider the Baloch an opponent, not their citizens bypassing the State, ‘s constitution. In any case, they are sticking to the policy of suppressing and killing.
At the end of the statement, the spokesperson said that we request all human rights organizations, and people from all schools of thought to raise their voices against human rights abuses and support us in this political journey to raising voices for human rights. So that the systematic genocide of Baloch by the State can be stopped
