According to a statement issued by the BYC, the recovered bodies were found over the course of two days in various districts of Balochistan. His family recounted that he was forcibly disappeared on May 26, 2025, in the Parom area after being detained by Pakistani security forces. Family members allege that personnel from the Frontier Corps, accompanied by armed individuals believed to be state-backed, detained him without due process.

The family further revealed that despite approaching courts and relevant institutions for eight months seeking his recovery, they were instead presented with his dead body. The body reportedly bore signs of torture, underscoring the brutal treatment inflicted upon victims during and after their detention. The case of Jangian Baloch exemplifies the ongoing struggle of families seeking justice amid systemic abuse.

In addition to Jangian, local sources reported more than ten similar cases within just the past week, indicating a rapid escalation of enforced disappearances and killings across Balochistan. The frequency of these incidents raises alarm about the worsening human rights situation in the region and the lack of accountability for security forces involved in such acts.

On February 14, 2026, another tragic incident took place when 17-year-old student Mehnas Baloch was shot dead in Tump, Kech district. Relatives of Nawab Abdullah reported that his body showed gunshot wounds and signs of physical abuse, confirming the brutal nature of his killing. The BYC strongly condemned these incidents, stating that enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings continue unabated across Balochistan.
