Armed individuals reportedly carried out two separate attacks in Chagai district, according to local authorities and sources. The first incident occurred late on Tuesday night in Chahter Bazaar, which is situated approximately 51 kilometres east of Dalbandin. Details from police indicate that masked gunmen entered a rest house in the area and set it on fire.
The assailants allegedly sprayed petrol inside the rest house before igniting the flames. The fire reportedly broke out around 3:30 am, causing extensive damage to the buildingβs structure. Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries resulting from the blaze.
In a separate incident, armed individuals launched a raid on the Chahter Gas Plant in the same district. Sources suggest that during the attack, a private security guard on duty was detained and his weapon was seized by the attackers. The security personnel were later released, according to reports.
Authorities have not identified any group or organization claiming responsibility for either of the attacks. They have also not provided additional details regarding the motives or the identities of the attackers.
The incidents have raised concerns about security in the region, but officials have yet to issue a comprehensive statement or investigation updates. The situation remains under scrutiny as authorities work to determine the full circumstances behind these attacks.
