In recent days, shelling incidents have been reported in Wadh, where one person was killed along with several livestock. The local residents expressed their distress over the violence and its impact on their community. The military’s use of heavy artillery and aerial firepower has intensified tensions in the region.
Military gunship helicopters have been actively involved in shelling several locations within the Surgarh area of Ornach. Sources confirmed that these helicopters conducted multiple strikes, while flights continued to traverse the area, suggesting a sustained military presence and activity.
Operations in Wadh, Ornach, and Zehri have been ongoing, with reports indicating that both ground forces and aerial units are engaged in operations across these parts of Balochistan. A day prior to the latest incidents, Pakistani forces carried out artillery fire and shelling in the Darakala Gaslati area of Wadh. This assault resulted in the death of a local resident and the loss of several livestock. In response, residents staged a sit-in on the highway, blocking traffic and protesting the military actions, with the body of the deceased laid in front of the protest.
These recent developments are part of a wider pattern of military operations in Balochistan, which include aerial and ground assaults in various districts. Last week, there were reports of a mosque and madrassa being damaged in Mastung’s Khadkocha area due to shelling by gunship helicopters, along with the killing of several livestock in separate military shelling in Kharan, highlighting the ongoing conflict and its toll on local communities.
