The central spokesman of Baloch Freedom Front issued a statement on the eve of Balochistan’s “Black Day” and said that on August 11th, 1947 Balochistan had achieved complete independence from the British occupation and the Baloch nation had formed its own independent homeland, but on 27th March 1948, the Pakistani state violated international laws by attacking the Baloch land and depriving the Baloch people of their right to life and freedom.
The spokesperson further said that the Baloch nation has not accepted the forced occupation since that day and stood up for the defense of its freedom and homeland, the struggle for which is continued till today. In order to maintain its imperialism, the state has been trying to weaken and eliminate the Baloch national movement from the beginning with various tactics, but the continuity on the part of innocent Baloch has not been broken due to the collective efforts of all and even today stood tall against state atrocities and barbarity.
The spokesman further said that the purpose of celebrating March 27 Black Day is to draw the attention of the international community, media, human right activists and the United Nations to the illegal occupation, atrocities and also to the historical background of forced annexation. It is to be informed that the Baloch nation has never accepted the forced accession of Pakistan under any circumstances.
Baloch nation has its own identity, rich history, vast culture and its own homeland. In order to defend our identity and homeland, we did not accept the domination of the British and courageously fought against them and eventually gained independence. But on March 27, 1948, the Baloch nation once again faced a neo-demographic invasion, but instead of being defeated by this neo-demographic invasion, the Baloch nation rejected it and laid the foundation of the national struggle to defend its independence from the first day. The struggle has gone through continuous evolution process and has shaken the foundations of state domination in the form of an organized movement today.
At the end, the spokesman said that on March 27, social media and on-ground campaigns will be organized in all zones in connection with Black Day for which advocates of human rights must come forward and hold Pakistan accountable for its notorious deeds. The world should pay attention to Baloch suffering and speak actively to stop Pakistan from committing such heinous acts of crime against humanity.
